I have art in storage that I did long ago that is in poor condition or originally created with non-archival materials. It is exciting to be able to retrieve these ideas years later and translate them into digital art.
Music is the Muse
In 1971, I found new songs by listening to the local radio station on a small transistor radio.  The station played the latest hits.  They often didn't announce the songs, so I would call in to the station to find out the song name.  They also had a program where you could call in to request them to play a song and dedicate it to someone you knew, and you were broadcast live to make your request.  It was really popular so you had to call over and over again to get through.  I kept track of how many times I got on and dedicated a song to a friend - nineteen times.  I owned a really small record player made for kids that looked like a mini suitcase and you closed and latched it when you weren't using it.  Vinyl singles cost less than a dollar that year.  My first collection of vinyl singles:
Blood Sweat & Tears - Spinning Wheel
Chicago - Question 67 and 68 / I'm A Man - Columbia
Guess Who - Broken / Albert Flasher - Nimbus
Jackson 5 - Mama's Pearl / Darling Dear - Motown - 50 cents
Led Zeppelin - Immigrant Song / Hey Hey What Can I Do - Atlantic
Marvin Gaye - What's Going On / God Is Love - Motown
Osmonds - Yo-Yo
Partridge Family - I Think I Love You
Paul and Linda McCartney - Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey / Too Many People - 77 cents
Stevie Wonder - We Can Work It Out / Never Dreamed You'd Leave In Summer - Motown - 77 cents
The Who - Behind Blue Eyes / My Wife - Decca
Three Dog Night - One Man Band / It Ain't Easy - RCA
